It seems to be cheaper to do than duracoat and I only want one color anyway (seems like duracoat is popular for camo?).
I'm thinking I'll get it done at DIscount Guns and Ammo since they're the closest to me. Does anyone have experience with their smith (I think his name is Chris)?
I use to use teflon coatings while at the DOE. It's a temperamental coating and has to be baked on. Too little heat and it doesn't cure and comes off easily. The slightest bit too much heat and it's brittle and flakes off of the gun. Cure it under just the right conditions and it's decent. It will last you a while. Stay away from Kydex holsters with it. You'll have a naked gun in no time.
Hope that helps.
