Based on past experience, I don't think that he has any problem with this kind of thing. I would like to add: as long as the bumper sticker doesn't have anything else on it that would reflect poorly on the forum. Why don't you email Thomas and see what he says, and then post the final draft of the sticker so that we can see it.

I think the important points to see from a distance are "Gun Talk" and the web address. The first to catch attention, the second so they know how to find us.
I'm no graphic designer, but what about something along these lines:
If the goal is not to attract more to the forum, but just a sign to each other, then what about a simple round sticker with the site logo?
