A former UCC member and I decided to go on a hetero man-date, and decided on Buffalo Wild Wings, in Lehi. As usual, I was carrying openly my trusty Glock 35 in a SERPA. Former member was carrying his M&P concealed. We sat down, ordered our drinks, received our drinks, and ordered our food. About 10 minutes after arriving, manager "Russ" approached us, and stated that Buffalo Wild Wings has a policy prohibiting firearms, and asked if I would take my gun to my car. I declined, stating that I didn't like the idea of my gun being in my car unattended. You know, cause it could start a killing spree without supervision.
He reaffirmed the anti-gun policy, so I told the manager that if my sidearm was not welcome in the restaurant, than neither was I. We asked for our food order to be canceled, asked for the check for our drinks, paid and left. We then proceeded to spend our un-welcomed cash at a nearby restaurant. It was then that I decided to Google them, and found many threads on various forums of instance like mine. It appears to be a nation wide policy of theirs, and some stores have signs that read "Buffalo Wild Wings BANS GUNS on the premises".
A side note... Manager "Russ" asked if him and I had spoken about this before, I told him this was my first visit to this restaurant. Apparently, another bearded OC'er was asked to remove his firearm prior to my visit. He stated that this "gentleman" was less than pleasant, and called the police to "save him".
Obviously, the Lehi police showed up, sided with the restaurant, and told Mr. bearded OC'er to take a hike. Any of you heroes wanna own up to that one?
