Mitch Vilos, Gun Law 4th edition. It has all the gun laws of Utah and he writes up a column on each one so it is easy to understand.
He's a lawyer too, and he loves guns.
One book I highly recommend is "Concealed Carry and Home Defense Fundamentals" written by Michael Martin (Chief Instructor for the United States Concealed Carry Association). If you get the iBook version it's interactive with embedded video and images for many of the scenarios he covers.

I agree with the Mitch Vilos books everyone who lives in Utah should spend time in the Utah gun laws book. For those who travel I also found good information in his 50 states gun laws book. I just finished reading and would highly recommend In The Name Of Self Defense by Marc Macyoung.
I agree completely with the recommendations made so far. I would add as an important addition the book "On Killing: The Psychological Cost of Learning to Kill in War and Society" by Lt. Col. Dave Grossman.
