SLC home invasion - Resident kills one, wounds one.

I couldn't see that anyone had posted this one. The KSL story incorrectly says it happened on the 3rd floor (it was on the 2nd floor). The other details appear to be correct.

I'm a firm believer that if you break into someones house in a home-invasion robbery, dying of a sucking chest wound should show on the death certificate as "natural causes."

Agreed!
What part of "Shall not be infringed" is not being abused today!

Even Knights had "Modern" weapons!

Or at the very least, "natural consequences."

In all seriousness, I hate to see any human life lost when such loss was preventable. But if someone is going to press an issue criminally, I'd much prefer than innocent, law-abiding, productive members of society not be the ones to lose their lives. Criminals are far easier to live without.

No one "deserves" to die when committing a crime but if they choose to engage in high risk behavior they get to face the possible risks associated with those choices. The sad part is that the innicent have to deal with causing the deaths of guys.
