I use a Galco owb thumb break when I OC my 1911. They're nice holsters. I like thumb break better than trigger release right now, but I don't own a Serpa yet so I can't say it's fair judgment. I can say that with all the movies I think trigger release is common knowledge, same as thumb break IMO. So go with what you're comfortable with. I like jarhead's idea a lot, have to find a leather shop around salt lake/west valley.
Shot placement is King, penetration is Queen, but a wide wound channel is the Ace in the hole.
