.25 cal airgun lead pellets

Postby dewittdj » Thu 10 Jul 2014 11:11 pm

Anyone seen any tins of .25 cal airgun lead pellets lately?

I seen .177 and .22 at most of the Wally Worlds but haven't stumbled across any .25 cal lead pellets.

BTW, my .22 cal PCP airgun blew completely through my .177 pellet trap. Significant energy difference between .177 and .22.

This was right out of the box without anything done to it. They say that it takes a couple hundred pellets to break in the gun and then you have to find out which pellets your gun likes. PCP's are, generally, much more accurate than springers. JSB match pellets have the best rep for consistency.

Crosman pellets are notorious for varying considerably from batch to batch.
Once broken in and the right pellets are located, accuracy should equal a ragged hole out to 100 yards. :dancing:

Being a PADI Advanced Open Water Diver, I have a number of standard size tanks (80 cf 3000 PSI or 2 BAR) that I get filled locally at a dive shop just a couple of miles from my house. I have an adapter for the K-value and fill from the tanks.

Airgun Depot is located in SLC. Though they don't have a showroom, if you let them know you are local, you can pick up the item from their warehouse. I've dealt with them via phone, email and in person. They're great as far as customer service is concerned and have a fantastic rep on the Gateway To Airguns http://www.gatewaytoairguns.org/GTA/ forum.

Pyramyd Air http://www.pyramydair.com is another great source for airgun accessories.

Thanks for the referral! Nice to have a local resource.

I have been drooling over the marauder on the Pyramid Air site for a while. It was their video reviews of them that sold me.

Now if only cabelas would sell some pcp air guns!

Thank you!

Keep an eye on Airgun Depot. They run weekly specials and often offer the Marauder, scope, and hand pump in package deals saving you $100's +.
