One of the other gun groups that I frequent is having a membership drive right now.
I just received an email from them about their credit card acceptance being shut down for having too many people sending them money via credit card.

Read about it here: BFA membership campaign

Too many gun owners join BFA ...
Credit Card company shut us down this morning!

I do understand that they may jump the gun if accusing their merchant account company of being anti-2A if the company does go ahead and reinstate their account, but it would be nice to know who their CC merchant company is.

Square :thumbdn: sent me a letter stating that my industry was "dangerous" and "risky", so they not only froze 45 days worth of payments (a few thousand dollars), but also gave me notice at the same time to find a different credit card processor. Needless to say, I have since found a different processor, who was not only less expensive, but also a lot more gun friendly. Electronic Merchant Systems is the way to go!

I also use Flint for Visa and Mastercard transactions. So far so good.

Thanks for the lead on Flint. Square hasn't caught up to me yet.... Flint looks like a great way to go. I just tried signing up for Amazon's new Local Register (like square) but the juries still out on whether I even got signed up.

EDIT. I just read the fine print on FLINT and they won't process "Firearm or weapon sales"

Lame.....

I would love to dump Square for my non-gun related business on principal but have yet to find one that has flat rates as low, I dont process over $5,000/month, so others with fees are much more. Electronic Merchant Systems, I believe charges like square, flat fee on each transaction and is gun friendly...BUT for some reason I can not sign up on line because their system cant find me...even tough I've owned the same business for 30 years and lived in the same house for 14 years....Customer service to help me sign up online? forget it, they are worthless. So I will continue to use Square.

I use Flint mainly for my classes and training and Electronic Merchant Systems when I can't use Flint (only Visa/Mastercard for Flint). Their invoicing system is excellent and I like not having to carry around a device to "swipe" credit cards.

You know, we are seeing more and more small businessmen forced to provide services to homosexual "weddings" and other events contrary to deeply held religious beliefs.

Yet it is ok for large credit card processing centers to refuse to provide services to law-abiding, registered FFLs and other gun businesses?!?!!? Of course, they are happy to have me use their cards for anything including porn, booze, sex chat phone calls, etc.

In this modern day and age, the ability to process credit cards is far more of an essential service for anyone in business than is a wedding cake, wedding pictures, screen printing, a reception center, or a room at a honeymoon hotel are for private individuals.

What is good for the goose is good for the gander, I say.
