Bought this one Monday from Rich at LockNLoadGuns&Gear...got it for a great price.
Took it to the range on Tuesday and put 200 through it; no failures of any kind. As I've heard, this gun shoots better than I do; I like it a lot better than my XDm 4.5...seems more controllable for longer periods of time....150 of those were a mix of Federal, WWB, and some kind of brass cased training ammo I snagged on sale at Cabela's, along with 50 of my SD choice, Speer GDHPs. Ate everything with no problems.
It was kind of snappy and had some muzzle flip due to barrel length and the fact that I was focusing on the 13rd magazine(which is what I'd carry)but it wasn't un-negotiable; I did order a couple of the Pearce grip extensions for the 13 rounders I have...I think it'll make a big difference in how well I can control it.
Feels much lighter, more comfortable to carry in my Serpa than the XDm, and doesn't dig into my ribs when I'm driving. I don't have my CFP yet(took the class on 7/21)but I got a Tommy Theis IWB holster awhile back in preparation for CC. Fits into that great, fits flush up against my back and makes the gun completely un-noticeable.
I'm actually thinking I'll get rid of the XDm and get another one of these.....the differences between the M factor pistol and the reg XD were pretty negligible to me.
Anyway, great gun, good for carry, another 200 rounds or so and it'll be my EDC if nothing untoward happens.
All it takes is one man and a guitar
