I usually get something like "Thanks for the info" or "Good, well let's keep it there, shall we?"

This is just my thought on the matter. I know, I had a thought. Finally. Anyway, I would only inform the LEO about the firearm that I am carrying. I don't see any reason to tell them about the other firearms in the vehicle that the passengers may be carrying. The driver is the one getting pulled over, not the passengers. He/she is the one that did something to warrant the LEO to flip the switch for the red and blues. I don't see a reason to get others involved, even if they give permission. That's just me though.
As for what lingo to use if you don't have a CFP, I think what UtahJarhead said would work great. Just be calm about it, and don't make any sudden moves. Just let the LEO know that you have a firearm in the vehicle, and wanted to let them know. You could let them know where it is, or wait until they ask where it is, becuase they most likely will. Then I would suggest doing what they want you to do so that you don't make them nervous.
Your mileage may vary, and others will think differently, but I think it is a good idea to be upfront with the LEO, even if you dont have to inform them by law.
mqondo wrote:I know. But I still wouldn't inform the LEO of others carrying or not. They aren't the ones getting pulled over. If I am talking to a LEO casually, I wouldn't inform them that I am carrying. Only if they are asking for ID would I inform them.
