I picked up my Christmas present last night after waiting a week for it to get to my FFL. My first impression is that it is everything I have heard about it. While it definitely isn't a flashy piece, is is very well built with zero slop in the slide. The VZ grip is very grippy. I don't know if I will be able to tolerate carrying IWB with the checkering on the grips, but I'll see.
The only thing I could find wrong with it is that the front Trijicon sight is dead. Given the reputation for quality from the newer Dan Wessons, I was rather surprised that a defect like that would make it out of the factory. I guess its not their fault though since they don't make the sights, they just install them...and they probably don't turn the lights off in the factory to check them. Anyway, I called about it today and left a message (after hours). Hopefully I can get ahold of them tomorrow. I hope their customer service is as good as I've heard.
So after cleaning and lubing it, I took it to the range this morning and put 130 rounds through it with no problems. My first shot was was dead center at 10 yards.
Safe to say, its more accurate than I am. While its a little big and heavy for concealed carry, I think I can get manage it
Sorry for the phone pics
