I would also recommend before holding your first class attending another class as a co-instructor. This will allow you the opportunity to 'get your feet wet' so to speak and discover where you need to work on the material or presentation.
I spent many years teaching large classes and thought a CCW class would be a breeze. To my surprise, the classes being so small, the student ask lots of questions, make jokes and laugh nervously about stuff. This can distract and make your presentation flow become choppy.
Your biggest challenge will be debunking urban myths and what their uncles, grounds keepers, aunt three times removed heard from her hair dresser about guns.
I have nothing scheduled right now but when I do, I will drop you a message and you can come teach my class.
