I do dart through traffic. I am never in anyone's blind spot for long enough for a "normal" (non-evasive manouver) lane change. I do not get complacent by traveling the speed of traffic and getting caught by a lane changer. Most call this darting through traffic. I also used to (in CA) "split" lanes at a 20 mph difference. It was my sweet spot for having less incidents. Before I lane split I was almost (like car's front tires locked up behind me) rear ended at least twice a week from people not paying attention. I dart, It saves me as far as I am concerned. I also do not travel in "packs" because it brings out the testoterone. I have seen many a "chopper" ride similarly.
