I have been using a Kholster for several months now and really like them. I haven't tried any IWB that is better (better meaning more $$$). During their last sale I purchased one for my wife and one for my XD, but haven't had the time to try it out with my XD yet. It turned out that my wife needed a left handed to carry SOB like she wants to. (Good excuse to buy another one and have a spare for myself, right?
As far as durability, it has been great. The leather has darkened a bit, but this is probably normal due to contact with the body. I did have to adjust the kydex a little, but the hairdryer method worked great. About 2 months ago I had a screw fall out and get lost (my fault, I didn't get it tight enough when I made adjustments to the height settings
), but I was able to find a replacement at my local Ace Hardware store.
After seeing how you trimmed yours up I just might do the same. The leather that sits above the grip of my gun has formed itself over the grip due to my ever expanding gut
, it doesn't impede my draw, but it does have a tendency to make a funny bulge in my shirt when there is no gun in the holster. All said, I would definitely recommend these to anyone looking for a low cost alternative to other IWB holsters on the market.
In God We Trust....Everyone else, keep your hands where I can see them.
