Hey all!

I just got back from the 2008 Shot Show in Las Vegas! I had a blast!

For those of you who haven't been to one yet - GO! It's amazing! I talked with the reps of Kimber, Kahr, Glock, The Wilderness, Barrett, GunVault, BlackHawk, DeSantis, Safariland, Crimson Trace, Hogue, etc. I even met and talked with The Gunny (R. Lee Ermey)! It was very nice to talk to the companies that make some of my favorite things (and then I don't feel so bad).

I have to admit, my favorite part was holding the HK 416 and 417 in my hands.... drool. I am happy they are releasing the MR223 and MR308, but I hope the release streams from Germany to the US soon.

Anyways, I had a good time and spotted the owner of FBMG walking around and also spotted one of my lecturers from FrontSight.

The show was enormous! There was 715,000 square feet of exhibit space and 1,950 exhibiting companies with a total registered attendance of 58,769. There were so many booths, they filled both halls of the Las Vegas Convention Center along with a massive white tent outside in the parking lot! I could have stayed longer (my version of Disney Land) if not for my family and aching hips (of all the things, I was expecting sore feet, not hips!).

Anyways, other than FBMG, I didn't really see anyone from around here. I thought I would post here and allow other people to voice their attendance stories, or, for those of you who wanted to attend or wished you could attend, feel free to ask questions.

Glad you had a great time.

I do have one question. I was somewhat interested in going this year, (I have never been) but in going to their web site it said it wasn't open to the general public, like you had to be in the industry kind of like some of the electronic show I go to.

Qestion is, how can someone get a pass that is not in the industry, just know someone at a gun shop? For example I get lots of invites to different electronic shows that I could pass to friends or list them as an employee of my company and get them in with no problems.
