Don't get me wrong, one of the reasons I bought the XD-45 was for its "safety" but a thumb safety seems a little bit over the top. What happens in a stressful situation when you pull out the XD only to remember after pulling the trigger that the "thumb safety" was on...oops! :shock:

I do like the idea since I carry Kimber and S&W with thumb safety. I always wanted an XD and now I can finally buy one.
