I recently bought a bunch of 45 Colt brass and found a few 45 Win Mag pieces in the bag.

After doing some research on the caliber and choice of weapons, I have become VERY interested in obtaining a LAR Grizzly 45 Win Mag.

Is anyone interested in parting with one?

I've been thinking to myself that a larger .45 Auto would be really cool - and now I've found it! The company (LAR manufacturing) is literally a stone's throw from my house. They stopped making the gun a few years back and have no plans to make any more. Thanks, guys!

Good luck,

Parts for the Grizzly are extremey hard to come by. Like you said, they haven't built them in years and they were the only source of parts particular to that gun. Some of the minor parts are interchangable with the standard 1911 but many of the parts aren't like the extractors which are very prone to breakage. The last extractors we got our hands on weren't even finished products and we had to finsh fit everyone of them and we had to pay through the nose for them.

On the other hand, we actually have the "conversion" kit to .45 Win Mag for those built in .44 and the like if you find one of those. By the way, the .50 AE MKV was a bigger gun and this kit won't fit it.
