Thanks for the heads up, I'll be tuning in for both. I have a good felling about the SCOTUS decision; My common sense is tingling. :lol2:

Oh, and my TiVo is saying it's running at 10:35, not 11:35.
Nightline runs at 10:30 here in Utah right after the news.

Wow! Was this really the mainstream media?!? What a positive and fair look at open carry. I think it was VERY well done and the folks there all did a great job representing. I was only mildly disappointed that they didn't show Sgt. Jensen's butt like every other open carry piece lately.

I have to agree it was very positive other than the little flash back to the wild west. All in all it was very fact based and didn't seem to be overly biased like most of the media today. Defiantly a good piece. :thewave:

A very nicely done piece. They were thoughtful, asked good questions and didn't try and put a spin on it. The info when the interviewer asked if he could try to pull a gun from one man's retention holster was good. He was a bit surprised, I think he, as well as many, weren't aware of how secure it is in that holster.
I give it a huge thumbs up too!

I also found it interesting that the interviewer tried to get the local police view on this and they refused to even comment. That probably tells us a lot about their opinion right there, they probably didn't want to look more stupid, in their opinion, not interviewing, than to be interviewed and remove doubt. Of course that is only one police department and there are thousands in the nation of which many would be for OC or even CCW.

I hope and pray that the SCOTUS does proper diligence and sides with the Constitution on this one! We all must pray hard tonight!

I watched this last night and wanted to mention a few things but didn't make time this morning in the excitement of Heller. One thing I hadn't thought of before that was mentioned is the "arms" are the only personal property mentioned in the ENTIRE Constitution. Hadn't ever really thought of it that way. When the reporter asked what would stop some madman from coming into the group and grabbing someones gun, my wife and I both chuckled and said "150 gun carrying people" should have been the correct answer. It was just a plain stupid question. I wouldn't have been able to resist saying something like that. I also found it interesting that the police wouldn't even reply or say one word about open carry. Anyway I thought it was very fair and rather interesting and I think it will have some positive effect. I bet opencarry.org has a increase in traffic because of the publicity.

To be fair to the journalist in question, I feel what he intended to ask was more along the following lines: " What would stop someone from just coming up to you and grabbing your gun away from you." I am sure he was aware that 150 gun toting people would be correct and he was probably a bit on the nervous side. I am sure many non-gun toting people may have been wondering a similar question for when an individual is carrying while alone or at most in a small group. I think it was handled fairly well.

Thanks for posting the video. I was going to watch on TV was just to tired to stay up that late. It looked like a fair story and I was impressed that there was no counter point, at least on the you tube version I just watched.
