I changed addresses within Utah recently. Anyone with experience changing their address with BCI for their UT permit? I looked on their website and emailed the person--Starks-- they recommended. Got no response. Will a new permit magically show-up? Sharing your experience with this is appreciated.

You will not recieve a new permit. Just be sure to let Nicole Starks know of the address change.
You will retain your old permit until renewal.
That is how they have been doing things since the backlog.

When I moved a couple of years ago I contacted BCI & let them know my new address. This was all I had to do. No new ID was required until my renewal in '06. So just call them, they will make appropriate changes in their computer & you will be ok.

One of the things we found amusing in our move is how the DMV works--We changed our addresses online and then they instruct you to just turn over the license and write your new address on the back. My wife actually had to put a piece of tape on the back of hers since she has one of the new licenses so that she could write on the back.

Just seems odd that we now carry incorrect or altered ID in a world where a premium is placed on identity and security.
