Clark, any ideas on how members of the LDS faith might pursue getting the LDS Church to change their stance on banning weapons from their houses of worship? Is it something they could pursue with their bishops or stake presidents? Would a letter to the First Presidency suffice?

Any advice would be appreciated!

I bet if we just leave it alone, the Church will not renew the thing next Feb. None of the other Churches renewed, leading me to think they really don't care, just wanted to make the LDS Church look stupid.

I suspect the Church will let it quietly go away.

Not so sure about that. Clark helped them write the original bill and they renewed this year.

MY TAKE IS THAT IF WE DON'T SPEAK UP, THE ANTI'S WILL SPEAK UP AND GET THEIR WAY.

Whadda y'all say?

I think that there was a large amount to pressure from the few other churches that said they wouldn't put their church on the regestry since the LDS church - who they say wrote the law - didn't have their Church listed. I think now that the other churches haven't listed themselves again, that the LDS Church will quietly let it go away.

I am sure with a quiet word here and there, we'll see this happen, but a large push will get the various paranoid nin-com-poops up in arms again.

Just my take on the issue.
