It is regarding a card to hand out when one encounters a "no guns allowed" business.

Here's an sample...

The top half is the front, the bottom half is the back.

I could format it as a .pdf file with 10 business card sized images of the front half on one sheet, and then another sheet of the back size for easy printing.

I could also format it as a tent card.

Let me know if anyone is interested or simply wants to tweak it.

Wow, that has got to be the best card like this I have seen! It would be worth it if we all used this card at anti-businesses.

I agree with the post over on OCDO: change sign to sign/policy, correct turpide to turpitude, and change the FBI to "Pass daily FBI background checks" it's smaller and better (IMO) than "Pass FBI background checks daily".

I would also vote for a two sided card rather than a tent card - we're not displaying it on a table, it would be better used as a handout, somewhat like a business card. Also, for those that open carry, could you make one with the OCDO logo and website as well?

Wow! That was FAST! I just printed up my first sheet (10 double sided cards) - I will make sure to do my part of adding names to the do not patronize list.

This is a cool card. It would work at a mom&pop shop where the owner/manager sees the card. However, suppose you give the card to the counter clerk. What is he/she going to do with it? Unless the card makes its way to someone in authority to change the policy, it will just be interesting or even a good laugh for the low-level employees. If it's at any kind of chain, your chances of getting to someone who can effect change are really small.

I'd recommend putting the card in the comment box where appropriate rather than give to the clerk. Any other ideas for getting the card to where it would matter?

I think the comments box is a good idea.

If you are asked to leave, I would ask to speak with the management. When they arrive, I would hand them the card and tell them that if they care to change their policy, I may once again patronize their establishment. I would refrain from giving the card to a low-level employee.

They do, but there are some employees that seem to think otherwise.

Awesome idea. These cards make a great point. I just printed some.

I printed some up and I love them.

Now for the downside:

I have three color printers in my house, all quite old, old enough that the ink was dried out. Went online to get new cartridges and they have been discontinued for two printers and isn't cost effective for the third. Time to get a new printer! Found a closeout all-in-one for $80!

As a side note, if you use the Avery labels or equivalent, 3.5" x 2.0", be careful which direction you put them in. The top of the sheet is just a bit narrower then the bottom. How did I find this out? My cards have just the very top edge cut off.

The cards are awesome. The only problem I have is I don't have anywhere to put on or any business to give one to. I have been watching real close for 6 months and have not seen 1 single no guns allowed sign (expect the stupid one at the airport).

My issue (if you can call it that) is I don't ever see signs or get asked to leave. But its a good thing to have just in case.
