I would also be up for this. In the June time frame Zion would be cool. If anyone here is into Canyoneering this would also be great. I know of a nice FREE camping spot very close to Zion. If not Canyoneering, there are alot of nice hiking areas to explore in Zion. The Uintas are nice as well, but remember it could snow on ya at anytime that part of the year, also the no-see-ums are around.

:agree:

Maybe out west somewhere ( I know of some great spots for camping/shooting out near 5 mile pass that can hold 30+ tents if needed) or up one of the canyons (probably harder to find a spot for a large group[more than 5 tents]).

Out west is a great idea. There are all kinds of things to do out there.

And it's not that hard to find a spot for a large camp. We go out there several times a year with the Gem & Mineral Society & never have trouble finding a place for everyone to camp.

?? no-see-ums ?? You don't mean the gnats by this, do you? They don't come out until July or August, and more in the desert. What is this?
Yup, gnats/mosquitos, with all the rain/snow, I'm just saying, don't be surprised.

ok, The date has been selected. June 19-21. I'm up for the Uintas. I'll find a place and get everyone the info. Just start getting me a head count so I know how big of an area we need. Also, how many tents, trailers, campers ETC and the number of people in your party. PM me with the info.

I got it, but didn't get to Tapehosers comment until a moment ago (just got on during lunch & saw this post). :lolbang:
A camping outing might just be the thing we all need, especiaslly after the last few days of the legislature. If able, my wife & I are in.

I love camping!! The only thing about out west (5 mile pass) is its desert with NO trees!! and very HOT in the summer. What about Strawberry? More in the East and partially mountains depending on were you go. Much cooler, lots of places to shoot, fishing, trail riding, RV camping, etc. A little of everything. And its beautiful instead of baran land. I have never been to the Uintas, but I have heard also its great up there but could snow in June or be cold. Just my two cents. :D
