I am planning on attending the 2008 Shot Show in Las Vegas at the Las Vegas Convention Center this February.

I know that we (Utahns) have reciprocity with Nevada now and I can carry in town, but what about into the show? I was wondering if anyone had been to a Shot Show before and knew something about protocol or rules. I can't seem to get anything off the respective websites in regards to this issue.

Thanks for any information in advance.

LVMPD[/URL]":2gnnjq1j]Prohibited Locations

A permit holder must NOT carry a concealed firearm into:
Any facility of a law enforcement agency.
A prison, city or county jail, or detention facility.
A courthouse or courtroom.
A public airport and/or a public building that is located on the property of a public airport.
A public building that has a metal detector at each public entrance.
A public building that has a sign posted at each public entrance indicating that no firearms are allowed in the building.

Any facility of a public or private school without written permission.
Any facility of a vocational/technical school, or the University of Nevada, or Community College System without written permission.
Any other building owned or occupied by the Federal Government, the state, or local government.
Any other place where carrying a concealed firearm is prohibited by state or federal law.
The above provisions do not apply to a judge in the courthouse or courtroom he presides or employees with his authorization. They are also not applicable to the employee's of the above facilities. Violation of this section is a misdemeanor.

The CCW Detail is located 5880 Cameron Street. Our office number is 828-3996.

Hours = Monday - Friday (excluding holidays), 8am - 3pm.
Notice an absence of Casinos from the list... From what I've been able to find out they're treated as private property, so check for postings and metal detectors. Or you could call the LVMPD-CCW detail at the above number, they should know for sure about the convention center.

I was at the Las Vegas Convention Center (LVCC) this past week and I noticed a sign on the door saying no concealed weapons allowed. There is a document at http://www.lvcva.com/getfile/05.%20LVCC ... fileID=324 for planning events at LVCC that also says no concealed firearms allowed (see page 10).
