Hi All:

Before applying for my UT CFP I read that it was two to three weeks from mailing to receipt of permit. I am going into my fourth week and was just wondering if anyone has an idea of the current time table (I'll probably receive it tomorrow after posting this, but that's life  ).

Maybe you didn't pass the FBI background check? :D
That's why I was worried it was taking so long  . However, I did receive it in the mail today, but the letter that came with the permit states that it is contingent on passing the FBI check. I would think that the check had already been done before issuing a permit. Did everyone else's letters read that way?

Mine said the exact same thing. I assume that it's worked for them so far, so no big deal. As long as YOU know you'll pass the FBI background check, you'll be fine. I imagine they would notify you if your permit became void.

I had about a two week turnaround.

I had the same letter--seems like they would be pretty comfortable with your application to send out the permit. I have never heard of somebody getting the permit and then being rejected after the FBI check and having the permit immediately revoked. Anybody know of that?
