Mall Ninja?
A term used in forums to mean an unexperienced and enthusiastic weapon(usually a firearm)owner who pretends to be a seasoned operator. The phrase came about as a result of an over the top character in a famous satirical thread.

Thanks Dave, that thread made my day :lolbang:
Yeah, that thread was disturbingly hilarious! :lol2:

....Wow! In all my years i've never seen a thread that compares to that one. Here's one of my favorite lines so far.

My “Black-Ops” history ensures that you will never know about the missions I accepted in my younger days, and Vietnam still shudders when it hears the name of a an assasin so skillful and deadly, he is remembered decades later.
I may just make that a sig line.
That is a funny thread.

I have a close friend who was OSI in Vietnam. It is rare for him to talk about his experiences, but at thoughtful times he has shared some things. Anyone who have really been there would not be so cavalier about the experience.

At first I thought this was just some deluded idiot with an ego problem being serious. But these 2(maybe 1) guys are pulling everyone's chain. There is no way even a couple 13 year old boys could be serious about that crap.

I think it's pretty clear that SPECOPS was just playing (brilliantly!) but I'm afraid that Gecko45 is the real deal.

 I have done similar and its not all that difficult just shoot a bunch of different calibers and leave loos ammo out while loading multiple magazines, Yes I know not the brightest moment. As for that metric marked Fiocchi ..... anyone need some .25 acp? I once had a kelltec .32acp the quality, (it stopped working after 6-700 rounds) and the customer service experience I will never own another keltec. Now that Bill is dead and real gun guys own the company I may go for an LCP, then again I always have a "real" gun with me so why drop that standard?

I will have to admit that I did this once in my Sig P226 40S&W. :beat:

I am not sure how it happened but I think it was because someone had dropped a 9mm on the crowded table at the shooting range. While reloading a magazine, I dropped some 40 S&W rounds on the same table and inadvertantly picked up the 9mm round and put it in the mag with everything else.

On about the fifth shot, the P226 fed the 9mm round off of the mag and chambered it. The gun went bang like it was supposed too but a little softer and it didn't eject the round. When I opened the chamber the case looked just like the one above except the primer was still intact. It is the only FTE(Failure To Eject)that I have ever had with that gun.

I don't feel that anyone was in danger in my case or the case above. The case pressures of the 40 S&W are about the same as the 9mm and most of the gases will blow right past the 9mm bullet because it is not fitting tight to the barrel.
Thanks for fessing up. I don't carry 9's. I was thinking to myself of numerous times that I have been around my friends that carry 9mm's. I always load my 27 right out of my plastic ammo boxes, I have found a 9 now and again that someone dropped in my box, pulled it out and never thought anything of it.

I think I will move my .40 ammo to a different table just as a good general practice in the future, even if I don't load it, I could see where it would be super easy for someone too. My daughter loads magazines for me frequently.

Just a suggestion if you bring the collection to thye range one caliber at t a time and seperate the ammo. I dont want to know about a .357sig in a .45 acp etc. Take a lesson from those of us who have made the mistake.

If you have a .25acp I have 100 free rounds.

If you have a puller and care to reload some scary American ammo 158 grain 9mms they are also free. Warning do not shoot these, parts only!
