Colt Commander Special Edition (04691) .45ACP, carbon steel frame, blue finish, 4¼" barrel, 7¾"overall, gold scroll pattern on polished blue slide, aluminum trigger, beavertail grip safety, standard thumb safety, white dot sights, combat hammer, ivory colt grips.
This was the 1st trip out for my new Commander. The group pictured on the target, was 24 rounds of 8 shots each of the following ammo brands…Speer Lawman, Sellier & Bellot, and Fiocchi. All rounds in the group were 230 gr FMJ. I also shot 20 rounds of Speer Gold Dot JHP also 230 gr. (Not included in the group shown on target). I fired 170 rounds total and the Commander functioned flawlessly and was a pleasure to shoot. :thumbsup:

Nice grouping, except for a few that droped outa the center.

But you did manage to keep them all on the target which IMO is very good.

Im not an instuctor or anything but while in the military I myself would not stand for anything that didnt hit the target. Your probably a better shot than me :lol:

Man that grouping is nothing to be ashamed of. That Colt is one beauty, need to get one. 1911's or like Lays potato chips, you can not just have one.

That's a group to be proud of! I never do that well with factory ammo unless it's Federal Premium or Winchester Target. I guess that's why I started reloading years ago to improve accuracy.
