When I was living at snow college my friends and I went camping in the surrounding mountains a couple times a month. this particular weekend we had about 8 people there enjoying the great out doors (without drinking or drugs involved). About 2am we all went to bed, an hour later I was woken up from a dream bout fireworks by my friend Alisha hitting me saying, "Someones shooting at us!" half asleep I informed her the it was the fireworks, Then I heard a shot, then the sound of a rock getting hit 15-20 feet from our tent. I yelled "hey there's people over here!" yet every 5- 15 seconds you could hear a shot go off, as I was putting on my shoes and yelling. I grabbed and holstered my Ruger sp101 and my shotgun along with my flashlight. I walked towards the truck lights I could see and noticed my friend in stride, following with his win 94 30-30. we got to the truck and could smell alcohol, I shinned my light right in the face of the first kid i saw (one of snow college's foot ball players), and pro ceded to tell him my feelings about getting shot at and told him stop. he said they would just shoot the opposite direction and not to worry, so i told him it was time for them to go home and that my friend was already calling the police. they started to leave but STARTED SHOOTING WHEN THEY GOT TO THE BOTTOM OF THE HILL! it took dispatch 5 min to answer and another 45 min for the police to show up! they never even came to our camp. They just got to the bottom of the hill, didn't hear shooting and left! I was so pissed off by the local police that I called and made a complaint. I was just glad to have my guns and sobriety on my side. I don't think I could have or should have handled this another way.

Sofar have not been shot at here in Utah yet, like back home. Oh the excitement of hunting in Cali, felt at times like I was back in combat.
That's one of the reasons I took up archery, you don't get shot at. :fudd:
