Gifted guns

My sister was gifted a pistol from her former fiancé. They have since split up And he demands the gun back. My understanding is that if a gun is gifted they no longer can I ask for it back. If anyone knows if this is true will you let me know in this forum. Thanks in advance.

Like any gift, once it is gifted, it would be up to the recipient to return it if they wish to do so.

If the recipient had already re-gifted the item, then they wouldn't be able to return it.
