I got my Cabelas catalog Friday in the mail and it had an ad for a Glock 21 SF in it for $549.00. 13 rounds of .45 ACP in a compact package. Yeah, I definitely got to have one of those! Anybody have any experience with one yet?

I have a standard Glock 21, its a good solid pistol.
The SF model has a smaller grip size, but it's still a large firearm.

I love my 21, and I shoot well with it.

I also have a Glock 21, I just got it last week from a friend, and it is one heck of a firearm. It is big, but solid. The SF is probably a little more manageable. I might mention that you could also get a Glock 30 SF for concealed carry, and that it can also use the 13-round magazines. I just shot a 30 SF two days ago...nice, nice gun. Go .45 ACP! The 30 SF that I shot cost $570+tax at Van Wagenen's, including night sights...I don't know if they have any more though...

See now Iam really confused, I thought it was only the 21-SF, now you mention the 30-SF,,,, I have carried the Glock 36 for about 5 years now, and I hate the low cap mags! I want more capacity.

The Glock 30 and 30 SF carry 10+1, and are roughly the same size as a Glock 19. They do not have single stack mags like the 36 does. They can also take any mag that a 21 can take, including the (unfortunately) crappy Scherer 25 rounder. With a mag extension from Pierce, you could in theory carry 15+1 with decent reliability. Still, if you kept a 10-round mag in the 30 SF while carrying and then packed a pair of 13-round backups, you're still looking at 37 rounds of wonderfully hard-hitting .45 ACP. The 30 SF is the carry gun of my dreams

I've been ccing that model w/picatinny rail for about a year or more now. It's sweet!! The slim frame (SF) is nice. I have an IWB holster and it conceals really well. I've never been found. I carry 12 rounds because when I put in the 13th in the clip its a bit difficult to snap in completely when I put it in. I might be being too nice with it but I feel comfortable with 12 rounds anyway.

It's my first and its great. No problems so far and I've shot it a lot. Just that last round...Needs to be broken in more????
