Tonight was a lot of fun. It was great to put some faces with the names that I know and visit with some of you. This is a really good group of people. I'm already looking forward to the next meet.

By the way, the food was good too. :eating:

Yeah, it was fun. About 30 people turn out. I was fun to see faces. Clark Aposhian turned up in the end and a few of us learned some new things from him. Hope we get to have an outdoor meet soon. Shoot'n'dine :dancing:

How did the reporter behave?
We (my wife and I) thought the reporter asked good questions, seemed pretty fair. It'll be interesting to see what comes of this.

We had some positive and negative feedback from other customers in the restaurant.
We missed any comments from other customers, pro or con. We'd be interested in what comments others heard.

We thought the manager was very cordial, and seemed at ease to have us all there. The food was good, the company pleasant, really a good experience.

For the record, it was my wife's FIRST TIME carrying openly.

I agree. Before I left I actually went up and shook her hand and thanked her for allowing us to meet. She did mention she had some complaints but she would have us again in a heartbeat.

It was good to get out and finally meet everyone. It was also a good experience for those of us that were OC'ing for the first time. I didn't think I would run into anyone I knew at this event but Brian live up the street from me when we were kids and it was good to see him again. I am looking forward to the next one.

I had a great time and enjoyed meeting everyone. I'm looking forward to the next meeting. It was good seeing you again Brian. You've grown a foot or two since from the last time I saw you. I didn't hear any negative comments from other patrons in the restaurant but I believe that the more people see legal open carrying, the more they will feel comfortable with it (hopefully) and these kind of events help educate the general public. Let's do it again soon.

One of the customers commented to the group that "This must be the safest restaurant in the valley tonight." Another man, German I think, told me our actions were completely unacceptable, and that we are "putting the children in danger". Not sure if he meant our kids, his kids, or kids in general, but he looked genuinely scared.

I called Brenda this morning, and again thanked her for her hospitality. She was glad to have us there, and said that no customers complained to her, but a few did have questions. For those that did not make it to the meet, please show your support for Brenda and Sweet Tomatoes in the future! You will not be disappointed. :eating:

Genuinely scared and genuinely uneducated on the subject. :(
