I'm sure many of you heard that the VCDLs petition to allow firearms in national parks was rejected. However, there may be a chance to reverse this. There is some good information about this at packing.org. I hope it's okay if I post the link to this discussion:

This effects all of us in Utah, since we have 5 national parks (more than any other state except Alaska and California).

I'm actually signed up to get the VCDL newsletter ... just because I've traveled to Virginia so many times and I like the area. I'm impressed with how effective VCDL is. So, yes. I've been following this too.

Both Gun Owners of Utah and the Utah Shooting Sports Council have signed onto the VCDL Petition for Rulemaking.

Yes, this does affect us in Utah.
