Sorry I couldn't make it to the meeting on Saturday. I hope to meet you all in person some time soon.

Until then, check out my new girlfriend. She is a Springfield XD 4" Compact .45 ACP with Trijicon tritium night sights, a 10 round mag and a 13 round mag. She likes to eat Federal Premium 185 grain Hydra-Shok JHP +P loads.

Today, I put about 125 target rounds through her at the indoor range at Get Some in Midvale. No malfunctions, great accuracy and solid trigger pull. I am smitten!

Now this is a man that knows how to appropriately post gun porn. Excellent pics. That is a gun I have on my wish list. I just need to find a decent lefthanded concealed holster (IWB tuck preffered).

Very nice. I'd really like to see them offer the compact 4" in other calibers. I really like the improved accuracy the extra inch of barrel gives you over the 3" sub-compact (I have an XD9 SC), but I like the shortened grip. With a short mag you have improved concealment options, and with an extended mag you have a form factor identical to the service model.

I bought the XD .45 ACP Compact at Gallenson's (trying to support the only gun shop in the predominantly liberal urban center of SLC).

As for holsters, lately I have been trying to carry concealed using the free holster that the XD came with. What a horrible plan that was. The free holster is functional, but not concealable. Consequently, I have purchased a Blade-Tech IWB Ultimate Concealment Holster (http://www.blade-tech.com/Blade-Tech-Ul ... r-821.html).

Hopefully, this holster works out well.

I hope it works out for you as well. Post a review here when you get it and have a chance to try it out. After talking to you about holsters for your new acquisition, I was curious as to what you would decide on.
