Obviously I'm new here  I just recently took my concealed carry class and turned in my paperwork... Now I'm just patiently waiting :? I"d just like to say that I'm glad that I was able to find this site. There seems to be some very valuable information listed here and some very knowledgeable people as well. I hope to use all the available information that I can and I hope that I'm able to contribute in some way. I look forward to talking to some of you and hopefully become more familiar with the laws and rules regarding carrying a concealed handgun. Who knows... might make a friend or 2 too!

P.S. I am a Glock fan if you couldn't tell already

Thanks tapehoser! Your avatar rocks by the way!

I haven't had much experience with the XD. I chose Glock because they are easy to upgrade. I actually switched from the HK USP because the Glock is much easier to modify. I have a G33 .357 SIG that I have thrown an extra couple hundred bucks into... Titanium guide rod, striker, and safety plunger, plus a new trigger and connectors.... it's practically a totally different gun after all the modification I've done.

Have you ever got the urge to make any changes to that XD? How hard would it be if you chose to?

Not hard at all to make changes to the XD. Springfield and other 3rd party vendors already offer the things you changed on your Glock, but I have never seen the need. However, the titanium guide rod has interested me for some time now. I may also look into a trigger job on the XD.
