Hello all! Just signed up and I should be getting my permit soon. My card was charged a week ago. Now if I could get the wife to send in her application. I'm 28 years old and live in Lehi.

Welcome. Stick around and post often.
Welcome to UCC!

Let us know if we can help in any way.
Welcome to the forum.
Welcome. One thing that may help with your wife is to find another woman, one of her friends would be best, that would take the class with her. As a girl myself I know (as does my husband) sometimes we'll do something a friend suggests before something our husband suggests, even if they are suggesting the same thing. :) Just a thought. Enjoy the forums, loads of great information here.

Welcome to the forum. My wife was hesitant to take the CCW class but as soon as she learned that my friends wife was signed up, she scheduled the class herself and enjoyed it. Good Luck.
Welcome.

My wife got her permit at the same time I got mine. I think it is a good thing for the gals to have a permit, even better if they will carry when they go out alone.
My wife has taken the class she just needs to send in her application. Getting her comfortable enough to carry now thats gonna be a tough one.

My wife nor the friend she took the class with currently carry, but they have the option now if they want to. I also have a neighbor who has a permit but only carries when he travels out of state. He never carries day to day so don't push your wife to get her permit just so she can carry but as an option.

Most of the places I would want her to carry would be places we are together. I don't want her to carry if she isn't comfortable so I won't be pushing it.
Welcome to the forum. I am currently waiting on my permit as well. It seems like it takes forever. Post often and enjoy.
Welcome aboard, Hockeyman. Are you a hockey player?

Welcome to our forum! We're glad to have you join us.
Thanks for introducing yourself.
Congratulations on applying for your CFP.

I know some people who got their CFP, but never carry. It does give them the option to do so at need and still be legal. It also means that if you have to leave your gun locked up in the car, for some reason, and your wife then has to take the car to run an errand, that she isn't inadvertently breaking the law. The CFP itself gives her legal protection in that way. In my book, that's good enough reason, even if she doesn't want to carry.

Incidentally, my wife does have her CFP and she does carry, for which I am grateful.
Welcome to the Forum. I'm sure there are a lot of peole who can give suggestions for your wife in helping her to be more comfortable carrying.

Welcome Hockeyman. There are a bunch of very cool guys with a lot of experience on this site. Enjoy and thanks for joining. BTW, have you decided which pistol you are going to carry?
I want to carry a .40, I think I will be getting a Glock either 23 or 27.
