In Herriman you should find no shortage of places to go shooting with in a few miles drive. I often go out to eagle mtn with some friends. I will PM you next time we go if you want.

We like to go bunny blasting over the mountains south from you. Those jackrabbits are quite plentiful....and quite full of disease, I might add.
Could you give me the GPS coordinates on where you go.

I woild like to know so that next time I am in the area I could get in a little shooting.

Oh yea UTHKUSP welcome to the forum

These are the GPS coordinates of the turnoff road where I like to hunt jackrabbits:

Geographic (North American Datum of 1983 (NAD83)
40 deg 22' 49.95" north latitude (40.3805416667 degrees if the GPS displays units that way)

111 deg 58' 35.64" west longitude (111.976566667 degrees if the GPS displays units that way))

Universal Transverse Mercator (UTM), North American Datum of 1983 (NAD83), meters
Easting (x) = 417,104

Northing (y) = 4,470,452

How good is the dirt road? I'm always up for good new spots to take the scout and young men's groups from my ward shooting. Can we take cars or do you recomend trucks?

Thanks!

Truck would be the only way in. You have to go around the hill toward the backside, where there's this HUGE sweeping valley full of sagebrush. Bunnies all over the place.

Be careful. If you go on a Saturday, we have seen groups of scouts having paintball wars on the western edge of the hills. You know the drill....be aware of your target and what is beyond, blah, blah, blah.

Thank you. I assume you go north. How far north from the turn off do you go?

ok so it sounds like we need to plan a group "Bunny Saffari". Who wants to spear head it? I don't know where to go. They have NASTY disease so we can help control to rodent problem.
