Hello Everyone,

My name is Bryan and I'm an Oregon resident. I'm happy to be here and look forward to participating in discussions.
I have a concealed carry permit and I'm NRA member. Some of my favorite things to do are hunting, fishing, shooting, four wheeling & of course Nascar.
It's imperative at this time for all of us to stand together to protect our rights to carry, hunt & shoot in general no matter what state you live in. I'm in it to win it!

Thanks to all,

Bryan

Hay nascaraddict, welcome to our little group.

I sounds like you have a lot in common with some of the rest of us.......I must say that this is a good group and that contrary to what others have said, and in defense of our leaders, half of the people on this forum are NOT old sore heads......Some of them are young. :lolbang:

Welcome! So are you from Utah and living in Oregon now? If not how did you find the site? You'll find a lot of great people here and lots of good discussions.
I'm a native Oregonian for 43 years now. I've been through Utah a couple times and there are some amazing places in the state.

I took my Oregon concealed carry class and I received my permit after only 3 weeks. My instructors told me they were going to take the Utah instructors program and told me the Utah permit was recognized in like 39 states. The other benefits are the low cost to renew for every 5 years. My instructors passed the course and became Utah certified instructors.
I then took the Utah certification class which is an hour longer than the Oregon class totaling 4 hours. I sent my application in and all the stuff on April 9th by priority mail and was delivered on April 12th. 60 days is up. I just so happened to have called early this morning and the lady said their mail goes through the Capitol and my application was received on the 24th of April. She also said they are catching up and they were now finishing applications received on April 21st. I would expect it by no later than next week. I'll tell ya, it's a painfully long wait!
I live west of Portland, OR. and will soon be able to carry concealed to neighboring states, except California of course.
I found the site from the application, although if it's out there and I'm searching for an answer or x good site, I'll find it.

Welcome!! That is interesting that the forum URL is on the application. Of course I haven't gotten my permit yet(This Saturday from ST, free class by the way) so I haven't seen the application yet. Thanks for being so active in our 2A rights. You'll find a wealth of knowledge here.

:welcome: aboard! Looking forward to reading your inputs..
Just a note (I don't know if this is truely the case) but I heard that the BCI was starting to process out-of-state apps behind Utah residents. That may be what is holding yours up...
Hope you get it soon..
I'm still waiting for mine too..

I have no problem with that and that's the way it should be. Big revenue for Utah from all the out of stater's from what I hear.

I'm still have ants in my pants waiting for my permit though.
