Thanks for the warm welcome everyone. To answer the question of what and why:
I carry an Springfield XD40 service (fantastic firearm). I finally decided to get my permit last year after a combination of the Trolley square shootings and VA Tech. Working in such an environment that one was a little too close to home. So both myself and my wife decided to get our permits.
Oh Dave, I;m ready as soon as the bathroom is done :wink:
