This looks like a great forum. I am a mom, soldier's wife, sister to a gunsmith, writer and big bore handgunner. My soldier is currently in Iraq. Love to shoot! Hunt too. Also like to shoot some trap now and then. Have six kids ages six to twenty all shooters too. Husband is a mastermarksmanship trainer for the Army and a member of the international all army team 1991-2005. Love all things explosive! I re load too. My brother got me a smith .500 for my birthday, 4" barrel I LOVE IT!!!

How is that S&W 500 to shoot, especially with only a 4" barrel? I would imagine it's a handful! :shock:

Have you found any good holsters to CCW the .500 with?

That wheel canon is very high on my 'need' list, either S&W or Taurus.. So far the best deal I've seen is Red's Trading Post, they're asking $200 below dealer for the S&W.
