What an absolutely humble man! You can tell he wishes he didn't have to shoot those two guys but when someone puts a gun in your face and informs you they are going to kill you and your wife they leave you with little choice. I'm very impressed with how he handled the situation and how he presented himself in the interview afterwards.

Yes it just goes to show that no place or activity is safe any more. That is one reason why I also carry at home. You never know when or where it can happen. Better to have it and not need it, then need it and not have it.

The video is about 16 minutes long. It is excellent and I strongly recommend that everyone here take the time to watch it. Very good story and excellent reminder for us to ALWAYS carry and keep your gun on your body. Walther, thanks for posting that vid.

Dazmond was such a good boy... I don't know how he wasn't in Florida reuniting with his estranged mother or why he was having a child at 19 to a girl he wasn't married to or why he hadn't gotten his GED yet, I mean, Daz was NBA material all the way! Maybe he was forced into doing that B&E...
We believe that the true victims in this crime were the two young men involved, shot down in their prime by a crazy gunman. The Police are calling this self-defense, but we are still waiting for charges to be brought on the crazy gun owner for shooting these two boys who were, I am sure, going to go on to become outstanding citizens in the community.

Doesn't seem to me that there is any reason to paint these gangsters anything but what they were; opportunists. They broke into this guy's place and were met with lethal force resisting their crime. Sad for the family, but it shouldn't be surprising that the media is trying to spin this story like so many before. :disgusted:

Gee Dave....Your sarcasm is right on point. Unfortunately the point is that to much of this country is lost on La La land and has it back wards.

Well said Dave.....Yes Well said.

Thanks Swillden, I was just going to post that, glad I read through this first.

This is part of what Front Sight had to say about the clip.
Note how the news media portrays the home invaders as “Two Louisville teens are dead… one had dreams of NBA stardom… working on getting his GED while also preparing to be a first time father…” Of course, this is politically correct talk for “high school drop out who impregnated another teen out of wedlock and then forcefully invaded a home, assaulting the occupants with threat of serious bodily injury and death!”

It could have been the other way around:
Two troubled teens robbed a man then shot him to death and beat his wife. The man was known as a hardworking individual who owned several apartment buildings in the area. He had served his country as a veteran of the US Navy and is survived by his wife, two children, and four grandchildren

Thanks for posting the video. It's educational and a good reminder of why we should carry. I was impressed at Billy's attitude and composure. He had true remorse for having to kill two men, and at the same time has a firm resolve to do it again if his or his wife's life was in danger. Very impressive that he had the presence of mind to fake the heart attack to give him more of an element of surprise. And, that's why he lived. Thanks again.
