Just completed my CCW class at the Sandy gunshow and will be submitting my paperwork this week on my way home from the range. Started shooting handguns in 1975 and started reloading soon afterwards. Don't expect to ever have to use a gun in self-defense, but want to have the option to carry in the event I happen to be in harm's way.

Welcome to the Forum. Do you have a 69' Roadrunner? If you don't mind let us know how long it takes to get your permit.
I wish I did! It was my first car when I was a junior in high school. Brand new off the lot and paid for a year later. I have a lot of fond memories that go along with that car and have often wished I had another like it. Once a Mopar fan, always a Mopar fan.

I will update this thread when I get my permit. I will be delivering the application package tomorrow on my way home from Lee Kay. Got to get my weekly range time in.

What do you plan on carrying once you get your permit?
NOTE: the only TRULY ACCEPTABLE response to this "?" here is an XD.

Haven't decided on what to carry yet. Twenty-five years ago, when I was much younger, I used to carry a Colt 1911 in an Askins Avenger holster - I worked part time in a gun shop and that helped pay for my habit. Even then it was expensive to run 500 rounds of .45 ACP a week.

I'm getting too old and decrepit to bend over and pick up brass any more, so I'm inclined to go with a wheelgun. I reload my own ammo and have the dies for .38/.357, 9 mm, .40 S&W, and .45 ACP, so whatever I decide on I will be able to practice, practice and practice so more. More so, because I haven't really shot a handgun much in the last ten or so years - I spend more time shooting rimfire rifles.

CFP arrived in today's mail. Twenty-five calendar days after submitting the application. Now what to wear. . .
