Does anyone know of a place to buy Double Tap ammo from a local (Provo/Orem) store? For that matter, do they sell from stores at all, or is mail order the only way to go? Thanks.

They are based in Cedar City, I would contact them and see if they have local retailers or are online/phone order only.

DT ammo is loaded very hot. While still being within safety levels for the particular casings, you could say that DT ammo is loaded so that it runs "full throttle."

Many people use this ammo for hunting (particularly when taking a deer with a handgun round). I personally think that DT ammo is too much for a self-defense round (follow-up shots, overpenetration, wear on firearm, etc), but to each their own.
