WOW! When I was a cop in the Air Force I was told I could buy one from the Air Force for about $1000. Now that I am not a cop anymore I dont know if thats an option but I guess I should find out before I seperate if they cost that much in the civilian side.

Does anyone know how I could get my hands on an M-4 with a collapsable stock? Also for civilians can you get it in three round burst or just semi auto?
I picked up a Bushmaster M4 a few months ago from here. It's been a great gun!

Getting it in selective three round burst is almost certainly not worth the effort or cost.

If you dont mind me asking how much did you pay for it? I loved it, we also had the m68 mounted on it. That is a pretty good coyote and rabbit killer.

Neither is it possible to add a new machinegun to the register, thanks to FOPA '86. Exceptions, as I recall, include law enforcement agencies, etc., but no private owners.

It was a gift, but I suppose it was at the price listed at Impactguns.com - $995. You can get it for a bit cheaper if you custom build it.

And yes, I've had it only a few months and it has effectively reduced the rabbit population by nearly 100.

To get any gun that fires more than 1 bullet per pull of the trigger as a civilian you must buy a gun that was registered as a machine gun prior to 1986. There is a limited supply. Civilians can't make new machine guns. They can only buy pre 1986 registered machine guns. Law Enforcement Organizations can get machine guns, but only for LE use and the organization owns them not the individual. An LE can't get one as a cop then keep it when he leaves the force. So thats why the cost. Limited supply combined with high demand = high price. You can get some full auto submachine guns or handgun styles for around $5,000 but thats about the cheapest you will ever find. If you want to know more just google Class 3 weapons.

Talk to the guys at FBMG. They will set you up with whatever you want and at a good price. Those guys know AR's. Sorry, but full auto is not going to be an option unless you have a lot more money than me.

All three of these, with the exception of the lower on the flat dark earth (tan) one came from those guys.
