I have everything set up for our March 15th meet, greet, eat, and shoot.

Date: Saturday, March 15th, 2008
Time: 1:00 PM
Place: Cache Valley Hunter Education Center / Range
Address: 2851 West 200 North / Logan
Range Cost: $4.00
***Remember your ear and eye protection.***

We will meet in the Hunters Ed Center at 1PM in the downstairs classroom. We will eat lunch in this classroom and just hang out for awhile getting to know everyone. I will buy lunch for everyone. I know Chris already offered, but I was planning on doing it anyway. I am planning on getting some 6 foot Subways or something similar so I will need to know how many people will be there so I can buy the correct amount of food. I will also have some chips, plates, napkins, etc. there. Everybody needs to bring their own drinks though. (Drinks are too complicated and I don't want to offend anyone by bringing the wrong flavor or not bringing the right flavor... LOL). You don't need to bring your guns in for the food because you will just have to take them back to your vehicle when we get done eating... (except of course for whatever you are carrying...)

Now for the good part!!! After we are done meeting and greeting and eating, we can go put some serious lead in the air. The range cost is $4.00 per person and gives you unlimited use of all ranges. (I'm not paying for this!) The range has some private bays on the east side of the 300 yard range that they will let us use. They are not covered bays so pray for good weather. They have some picnic tables over there and we can go over there and shoot without having to interact with the general public. So everyone bring your handguns and we can shoot each others guns and have some show and tell time. If the weather is bad we will just shot on the normal covered ranges. They asked that we only shoot handguns on this private range area. Bring your own targets, ammo, etc...everything you would normally bring if just you were going shooting. If we want to shoot rifles we will need to do it on the public range area. I will bring my SBR, so anyone that wants to bring rifles is welcome to do it. I think that about covers it.

You are welcome to bring freinds, family, children, whoever you want. You can just show up and get some free food and then leave also. You can also show up late and just shoot. I figure some of us may be here for a few hours so feel free to come late. Just remember we will be around on the east side of the 300 yard range. You don't have to have your permit yet to come to this.

***Please PM me if you are coming with a count on how many for lunch so I buy enough food. Thanks and see you then.

I'll be there.

You'll want to make sure that nobody else is using the east bays. I might be mistaken, but I think there's a Cowboy Shoot on the east end of the range on Saturday. The Cache Practical Shooters group also has target stands and a bunch of stuff over there that we might be able to use. Contact info at http://utahshooters.org/clubs.php#CAPS
Already taken care of and schedule with the range.

Excellent. My wife is planning on coming assuming we can find a babysitter... which we will. She will be glad to know another woman will be there not just us testosterone driven men.

Driving should be a couple of hours or so depending on who's driving.

Anybody for car pooling?

From downtown SLC to the Logan gun range 1.5 to 1.75 hours depending on if you speed and traffic.

There I go getting Logan and Layton confused, do to a prior commitment I will have to sit this one out. I know some of you will be disappointed. :dancing:

Whenever and where ever the next event is how many would be interested in shooting an MG? Just a M11/9 bullet hose:gun4: Your own factory FMJ and target. Depending on the draw and crowd probably a 50 maybe a 100 round limit. I have 12 mags and will provide instruction. Kids welcome.

I will be there for the lunch and plan on having a friend come with me. He currently owns zero firearms but I have been working on changing that for the past few years much to the consternation of his wife :D.

I am eager to shoot others firearms if they allow as I have shot very few auto loading pistol, those being the XD, 1911 and Glock 17. See you all there.

I plan on bringing all my handguns. Anybody is welcome to shoot any of mine. The range doesn't care who shoots whose guns and I'm sure others would be happy to "share" also.

Just a quick reminder. I ordered the sandwich today. I have 17 RSVP's so if you are planning on coming and haven't sent me a PM or posted in this thread that you are coming, I need to know ASAP.

Remember to bring your own drinks! I have the rest taken care of. See you then.

Also if you have a gun you are willing to let others shoot, post the caliber so we can bring ammo. I don't mind letting anyone shoot my guns, but I don't want to finance everybody with the ammo. So here is what I am bringing. Bring ammo in these calibers and you can shoot my guns as much as you want:

.22 LR
.32 auto
.380 auto
9MM
.40 S&W
.45 ACP

.223 remington (rifle)

If anyone has any other calibers they are bring and are willing to let people shot their guns, post the caliber so we know what to bring. I would love to shoot anything!

Oh yeah, pray for sun!

This morning at first light it was snowing like crazy. I thought, "Aw rats!". Now it has cleared off. It looks like we will have sunshine for the meet. The temp is 32 degs F right now , but it may be warmer by 1:00. See ya there.

I woke up and thought the same thing. However I have shot in much worse weather. A few wimpy snowflakes won't stop this party!

See you guys at 1PM.
