Moving to our new home

We are ready to move the site to the new server. We will be bringing the server down tonight at 10:00PM MST.

When this happens you will still see the site however there will be a message stating it is down for maintenance. Once the DNS servers resolve to the new site you will see it come back online.

The DNS should update within 24 hours however, if you want to force it you can go to the windows command prompt and type:

ipconfig /flushdns

This will force your computer to look for the new DNS entries. The new site should be online for posting by midnight tonight (we hope). We are also performing an upgrade at the same time so be patient.

If you experience problems once on the new site please post them in the Rules, Comments, Complaints, and Concerns forum. Also, e-mail me personally at [email protected]

Thanks and see you on the new server,

Site looks great. Hopefully it runs faster and smoother.
Very nice - it is going to take some getting used too :crown:
The site looks great! Thanks!

PS Maybe someone could modify the UCC logo to have the same background...

CONGRATS, you are nominated!!! :p
:beat: Okay.. Okay... I'll do it if someone can provide me with the banner picture (the blue background picture).
Nevermind about the banner picture... I just made the white background transparent instead...

Now if I can just find a place to post the image....
Is there any way to make it look smoother? It's all pixelated and has dots in it. Is it just me?
No, it's not just you... however, I thought it was always like that... ???

I agree, but I would need to get the original image. I believe the degradation of .gif combined with any shrinking caused this in the first place...
I could create a new logo that is similar to the original and jazz it up a bit. Let me know what ya'll think... (Do keep in mind that the larger the image file size is, the longer it takes to download...)

I has been like that since we got the new logo - I didn't say anything at the time - but it's really bugged me. I thought maybe it was just exporting the image to a web format with 256 colors or something (bad export profile). I have the original PNG, I would be happy to export it to a nice, smooth looking transparent GIF.

OK, here they are for Thomas or Jeff to upload. One is transparent outside the circle, the other is transparent outside the circle and inside the circle around the state.
