I was referred here from the Utah Wildlife Network (UWN). I go by the same username on the UWN. Based on some of the questions posed to other newbys...I don't yet have a CFP, I plan on taking a class in the next couple of months. I do have a Ruger P95DC in 9mm, not a very concealable model. I do not plan on carrying regularly but I do carry when backpacking and I just want to be as educated as possible. I do hunt in just about every possible way and I am a big supporter of the 2nd amendment. Part of the motivation for getting the CFP will be to save the check fee when purchasing firearms, which, fortunately has been about 3 times in the last two years. Thanks and I look forward to getting to know you and learning from your experiences.

Don't wait on taking the class and submitting paperwork - the BCI can be a little slow at getting your permit to you. So, even after you take the class, you still must wait. Nice to have you here, please let us know if we can be of assistance.
