Checking in.

My wife and I took our CCW class on March 12th, and are anxiously awating our permits.

We've got a couple of Beretta 92s and just picked up a Kahr MK9.

Welcome to the forum. :welcome:
Welcome.

While you are waiting for your permit, carry your firearm around the house to get a feel for the concealed options you have. Try holsters, positions on the belt, sitting in the car, dinning table ect.. so when the permit comes, you are ready to go.
Welcome to the forum. Congrats on the new permits and on getting your wife to get hers.
:welcome:

Wife with a permit? Lucky man!
Welcome to the Forum. Congrats on sending off for your permits, I hope you get them back soon.
Welcome. Good to see couples getting their CFP.
Nice to have you here.
Thanks for the welcomes everybody! :lol2:

I'm proud of my wife and happy that she's interested in shooting and getting her CCW also. It's nice to have common interests.

It makes it a little easier to justify spending so much money on a gun, when she wants one just as expensive. Of course... it also makes it cost twice as much.

:lolbang:

:crying:

:D
Yes :welcome: ! I agree with MasLakas carry around the house and get use to having it there. Maybe do some open carrying if you feel up to it. Will get you use to having it in public. Just a sugestion. This is what I did. It also helped my kids get use to it. It took my wife time to get use to it as well now she doesnt even say anything about it. Some day I hopefuly she will get her permit as well. At least she looked at a gun last time we were at cabelas.
Welcome to our forum! Thanks for introducing yourself.
Congrats on your decision to refuse to be victim.
That's excellent that your wife is getting her permit too!

Some people do choose to open carry. You can do so legally without a permit provided that you have it legally unloaded:
U.C.A. 76-10-502. When weapon deemed loaded.

Is your wife a member of our forum yet?

BTW, Note my sig line. I am not a lawyer, so I cannot give legal advice. It is good to know the laws concerning firearms. Here's a good place to start: Handy links to Utah and Federal gun laws online

Post often... :D
Welcome aboard!

Thanks. I'm not a lawyer either, but I do deal with the law frequently and have some experience with reading "leagalease". After looking at some things on Friday, I actually started carrying my MK9 with me... in an old DayTimer's case.

The clips were loaded, and one was in the gun, but the chamber was empty, and the DayTimer had a zipper making it a "secure case". :lol2:
Welcome to a forum filled with happy people......except for those few old sore heads.
