Whats up everybody, Rick here everybody calls me Jamm.
Utah firearms instructor and a NRA pistol inst. Spent 8 yrs in the US Army Been shooting since around age 12 or so. I'm a 7th degree black belt in taekwondo and also teach personal defense training. I became A firearms inst. because I like shooting and I feel that maybe education will show those high powers that be that the good guys NEED to carry. Good luck to all and Happy New Year.

Weclome!

Being that you are so versed in the ways of martial arts, I have a question for you. Do you feel that, because of your training, you would be more inclined to use the martial arts in defense of your life instead of a firearm? Of course, there will always be situations in which a firearm would be necessary and situations where the martial arts would make more sense from a defensive position. But generally speaking, do you think that holds true for yourself?

Well What I do is evaulate the situation as we all would one on ones I will give it the kick punch break something deal, and thats considering no weapons on their part. Multiples depending on distances and if they are armed, and how many. My goal is to go home period. So its pretty much what ever it takes. hope that helped. I will say this if you think your up against a martial artist take him to be armed because MY training includes weapons made from things you would not expect, a halfway trained person can be as dangerous as well trained one.
