Hello and good evening! I have been reading threads on this forum with my hubby for a good long time now and have wanted to make comments on many different topics. Hubby finally convinced me to register. I do not curently have my cfp nor do I carry a gun. As my handle indicates, I am still a bit gun shy, however I enjoy reading the posts and comments and finally went shooting! Hubby says I did pretty well too! Anyhoo, I am glad this is here so that I can continue learning without feeling like a nerd! :conehead:

My wife was gun-shy at first too. It took time, but once she took the NRA Basic Handgun Course she was much more confident with guns. Then she took the CFP course and now carries her own gun. She later said that it liberated her from the low-level, but fairly constant fear that she would feel when out and about -- particularly after dark.
