I am wanting to get those fluorescent-type night sites installed on my SA XD9sc and I would like to get recommendations about which are the best and what gunsmith to install them. I plan to also pick up a short magazine for the same pistol. Any recommendations?

I'm not sure about magazines, but as far as Night Sights go I like Trijicon or XS Big Dot 24/7 Sights. Sometimes Meprolight doesn't seem to be as bright as these two.

Here's an inexpensive alternative to the the usual night sights. I have them on my Stoeger Cougar and my brother-in-law has them on his XDs. You do have to charge them with either daylight, flashlight, ultraviolet, or some other light source, but they stay charged for a good five hours or more. Here's the site http://www.nitesiters.com/

BTW. You should follow the installation instructions. My b-in-law didn't allow the adhesive to cure and one of the dots fell off while shooting.

there are several good sights out there. I would have FBMG install them. They can get the sight for you too.

I have the factory Trijicon night sights installed on my XD .45 ACP Compact.
They are just ok. I wish they were bigger, like XS.
