I use an older style Garmin eTrex Vista (non color). I bought it back in 2001 and it's still going strong. They are great units. I like the battery life and the water resistance - saved me up in the mountains in the rain and out caching on rainy days. Oh, and when traveling I used it for maps, but not since the purchase of the iPhone.MasLakas said:

I have a first edition eTrex Vista (greyscale screen), but it still works and can load maps (albeit from a COM port :lolbang: ). It's a great unit, small, lightweight, water-resistant and does most everything well. I do like the bigger screened versions for driving. We rented a nice, large, color GPS from Budget in San Diego and it was a life-saver!
